The needs of the community have changed and so, after six years of operation, the Franklin Legacy Fund is refocusing its work. We will be continuing efforts toward the sustainability of nonprofits, through grants and education, but redirecting our interest areas.
In the fall, we will be accepting applications in the areas of child, teen and family mental health, homelessness and hunger. One of our purposes in sharing our focus is to ask visitors to the website to recommend nonprofits that are doing an outstanding job in any of those areas.

The Franklin Legacy Fund is proud to introduce its 2020/2021 Sustainability Recipient, MEarth.
|
Based in Monterey County California, MEarth is a nationally recognized outdoor learning center that educates and inspires through environmental stewardship. Located at the 10-acre Hilton Bialek Habitat in Carmel Valley, California, it provides expansive hands-on learning opportunities to schools, county agencies, partner nonprofits, local businesses and interested citizens throughout Monterey County.
